The Bernāti lighthouse operates in automatic mode and is located on the dune, the height of its tower – 21 meters.
Initially the lighthouse was built in 1928. In the early 60s of the 20th century, it was washed into the sea, but in 1962 it was rebuilt. Automatic mode of operation has been turned on since the 70s of the 20th century.
The lighthouse tower is a quadrangular latticed metal pyramid, the upper part of which is planked with wooden planks painted in red (in the 70s of the 20th century in yellow). An electric light bulb is installed on the top of the beacon in a stationary, concentric band lens. Light source above sea level – 41.1 meters, light visibility – 15 nautical miles. Characteristics of the light – white, single-phase flash fire with a cycle of 4 seconds, or 2 seconds light, 2 seconds dark. Reserve flash, its visibility –8 nautical miles.
