In the yard you can see an exposition about the ancient history of Nīca and Pērkone people. The owners enjoy reviving ancient traditions, preserving, and displaying antiques, and organising educational events.
“Galdnieki” farmstead displays old tools – a horse rake, several carts, sledges, carpenters’ planes, and hammers, spinning carts, a coffee grinder, a butter churn, meat grinders, elegant coal irons, horseshoes, saddlery, ancestral clothing, while the dowry chests contain embroidered towels and linen fabrics. The owners of the exhibition tell stories, show, let you see and wear the glorious and ancient folk costumes of Nīca. The sea is just 700 metres from the ancient homestead, and you can hear it rustling.
