The two stops next to the old Bernāti Road are more special than the others. In the center of Bernāti, there is a bus stop painted by local activists to honor the first President of Latvia Jānis Čakste, who has also been in Bernāti. Another bus stop “Eglītes” was made by a group of creative and friendly neighbors and it is patriotic – there is a flag pole with the Latvian flag, 2 long benches on both sides of the road and neat postboxes and there is a decorated Christmas tree during the festive time.
