Jūrmalciems Fishing Net House “Piestātne”

It unites cultural heritage, skills, and traditions of fishing.

Visitors can see an exposition dedicated to fishers and learn about fishing traditions and history of Jūrmalciems.

In the past fishers used the “Piestātne” as a place to take fish out from the nets. That is why this building was called the house of nets. Currently, the NGO “Jūrmalciema valgums” operates here and you can call them to organise your visit.

Admission: for donations.
